This week, Feb. 1-5, is National School Counselor Week with the theme "School Counselors: All in for All Students.” It highlights the impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. Luverne Elementary School Counselor Marie Atkinson-Smeins is making the week special with a series of activities, including “kindness sticky notes.” She printed 493 sticky notes with kindness messages for all the lockers in grades K-5, and students arrived Monday morning to discover the encouraging messages.
