SUMMARY PUBLICATION ORDINANCE NO. 38, FOURTH SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REGULATING THE CONDUCT OF LAWFUL GAMBLING WITHIN THE CITY OF LUVERNE, MINNESOTA
THE CITY OF LUVERNE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SUMMARY. That a new Section of the City Code Chapter 117, Regulating Lawful Gambling is hereby created. The purpose of this summary is to inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance and to publish only a summary of the ordinance with the full ordinance being on file in the office of the City Clerk during regular office hours.
Chapter 117 of the City of Luverne Code of Ordinances as adopted shall consist of the following section titles:
117.01. ADOPTION OF STATE LAW BY REFERENCE
117.02. CITY MAY BE MORE RESTRICTIVE THAN STATE LAW
117.03. PURPOSE
States the purpose of this ordinance.
117.04. DEFINITIONS
Definitions applicable to this section.
117.05. APPLICABILITY
States the forms of lawful gambling regulated.
117.06. LAWFUL GAMBLING PERMITTED
States the grounds for lawful gambling.
117.07. COUNCIL APPROVAL
States lawful gambling shall not be conducted unless approved by the Council.
117.08. APPLICATION AND LOCAL APPROVAL OF PREMISES PERMITS
States the grounds for approving or denying a permit under this section.
117.09. REVOCATION AND SUSPENSION OF LOCAL PERMIT
States the grounds for suspending or revoking of a license under this section. Also states
the procedure to follow when a license has been suspended or revoked.
117.10. LICENSE AND PERMIT DISPLAY
States posting requirements.
117.11. NOTIFICATION OF MATERIAL CHANGES TO APPLICATION
States the rule for notification of application changes.
117.12. DESIGNATED TRADE AREA
States rules for lawful purpose expenditures.
117.13. RECORDS AND REPORTING
States the reporting requirements under this section.
117.14. HOURS OF OPERATION
States hour requirements.
117.15. PENALTY
States the penalties for violating this section.
117.16. SEVERABILITY
States the severability under this section.
117.17. EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance becomes effective seven (7) days after its publication.
