Kindergartners in Cathy Rust's class bid farewell Monday to a butterfly they had been observing from egg to caterpillar to cocoon and finally to a winged beauty. "We've read stories and poems, sang songs and made a butterfly booklet," Rust said. "The children loved watching and learning about the process. It was very hard for them to let it go. They wanted it as a classroom pet."
