Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Barry Bork will be applying to Rock County and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for a permit to expand a feedlot of 500 animal units (AU) or more.  
The proposed expansion will be in the SE 1/4 of Section 2 of Martin Township, T101N, R47W, of Rock County, Minnesota. The feedlot currently has 816 head of swine over 300lbs, 300 head of swine under 55lbs and 70 head of sheep housed in three existing total confinement barns for a total of 348.4 AU. The proposed expansion will consist of the following:
-Constructing a total confinement barn with an under-floor concrete pit housing 
2400 head of finishing swine
-Eliminating a total confinement barn that housed 250 head of swine over 300lbs. 
-Eliminating a total confinement barn that housed 146 head of swine over 300lbs.
-Eliminating the north half of an existing total confinement and modifying the 
existing stocking density of the south half of the confinement barn to 100 head 
of sheep and 200 head of chickens. The south half of the barn will utilize a flush 
pit system that drains to a 70’ diameter outdoor concrete pit.
-Eliminating two existing 50’ diameter outdoor concrete pits.  
All the liquid manure will be stored in under-floor concrete pits and 70’ diameter outdoor concrete pit.  After the expansion the feedlot will consist of 2400 head of finishing swine, 100 head of sheep and 200 head of chickens for a total of 731 animal units.  The feedlot will be owned by Barry Bork.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
