    The Luverne baseball team hosted Jackson County Central Tuesday, April 23, beating the Huskies 10-7. Luverne tallied 10 runs on 15 hits and covered 24 total bases in a game that featured junior Carter Sehr’s two triples and four trips over home plate.     The LHS boys’ golf team beat Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 159-195 Tuesday, April 23, in Luverne. The girls’ team got the day off and had a regular practice.     The H-BC golf team took on Southwest Christian and Heron Lake-Fulda/Westbrook Walnut Grove Tuesday, April 23, at the Adrian Country Club.     The Luverne High School trap team had nine shooters score in the 40s and 14 shooters in the 30s in the first week of shooting April 22-27 at the Rock County Sportsman’s Club.     H-BC freshman Brynn Bakken won the women’s 100-meter dash at the Hamline Elite Meet Friday, April 26. The meet, held annually at Hamline University in St. Paul, brings together the best athletes from all three Minnesota classes – A, AA, AAA.
