SWU nips H-BC boys

A second-half rally by the Hills-Beaver Creek boys fell one point short when the Patriots entertained Southwest United for a basketball game in Hills Friday.

After falling behind 37-30 in the first half, H-BC rallied to outscore the Wildcats 29-23 in the second stanza.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, it wasn’t enough to keep them from dropping a 60-59 decision.

Dylan Gehrke (20 points and four assists), Carey Tuabert (19 points and 10 rebounds), Braden Ellingson (12 points and five rebounds), Noah Holthaus (four assists) and Isaac Tilstra (three assists) led H-BC statistically.

The 7-10 Patriots play in Tyler Tuesday.
