Grace/Bethlehem Lutheran host Chili cook-off Feb. 9
Youth groups from Grace Lutheran Church of Luverne and Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Hills will host a Rock County Championship Chili Cook-off from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Sharkee's in Luverne. The event will have all you can eat chili, garlic breads, desserts and drinks. Prizes will be awarded. Proceeds benefit church youth mission trips in 2014 and 2015.
Community snowmobile fun ride is Feb. 9
Grace Lutheran Church Youth and Family Ministry will sponsor a community snowmobile fun ride from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9. The fundraiser will benefit the Rock County Food Shelf and the Luverne BackPack Program.
All snowmobilers are welcome. The ride starts and ends at Sharkee’s Bar and Grill in Luverne. Pledge cards by the mile are encouraged or $25 minimum donation with a $50 family maximum. Prizes will be awarded to the top pledge earners.

Students in grades K-5 who enjoy the summer activities offered through Community Education are asked to register to help with the Monkey Business Summer Rec FUNdraiser. The fun begins with the registration, when students receive their first free monkey on a leash with more fun to follow.

Join early childhood teachers at ECFE classes where there is something for everyone (birth to 5). Classes are designed to strengthen families by helping provide the best possible environment for their child's learning and growth. Classes begin Feb. 4 and families may join at any time.
