Reformed Church of Steen celebrates 100 years

Friends of the Reformed Church of Steen gather for a day of fellowship on Sunday in Steen to celebrate the church's 100th anniversary. The day started with a church service and lunch. In the afternoon families gathered for a puppet show focused on the life of Jesus' love. Below left, Karlee Baker is blindfolded as part of a demonstration during the show. In the evening the congregation gathered in the Steen City Park for their annual Concert in the Part. Several musical acts entertained the crowd while guests enjoyed goodies and ice cream. Above, the Boeve sisters perform, and below is the Sandbulte Quartet with Dale Sandbulte, Doug Kraayenhof, Jim Harsma and Craig Sandbulte.
At right, Pastor Dan Kuik jokes with people while waiting in line for ice cream.
