Last week residents at the Tuff Memorial Home celebrated Valentine’s Day with a couple of themed events. The main event was on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14, in the activity room where couples enjoyed a special lunch. The home currently has 10 residents who have living spouses. Many of these couples spent the afternoon dining together. They were served spaghetti Alfredo, fruit salad, green beans, ice cream with strawberry sauce and special birthday cake. The cake was in honor of John Swenson, who shares his birthday with the romantic holiday. On Wednesday, Feb. 13, the Red Hatters Club hosted a Valentine’s tea.
