Patriots come up short against CL boys

The Hills-Beaver Creek boys dropped their third-straight basketball game when the Patriots entertained Central Lyon Monday in Hills.

The visiting Lions played well early to open a 40-31 lead at the intermission.

H-BC outscored CL 27-24 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Patriots from falling 64-58 at game’s end.

Jeff Sandbulte (19 points), Dylan Gehrke (18 points, three assists and three steals) and Carey Taubert (10 points and eight rebounds) turned in big nights for the hosts.

Jon Gallagher and Dalton Bass added six and five rebounds respectively for H-BC’s cause.

The 4-8 Patriots play in Westbrook Thursday.
