Patriot girls fall in Garretson

The Hills-Beaver Creek girls’ basketball team dropped its seventh-consecutive contest Saturday in Garretson, S.D.

The Patriots played with the home-standing Dragons the entire night, but Garretson made enough plays to come out on the winning end of a 49-42 decision.

“Our girls hung tough and played hard the whole game. We just didn’t get enough shots to fall, we didn’t rebound as well as we have been in the past and we turned the ball over too many times to get a win,” said H-BC coach Jason Blosmo.

Haley Van Wyhe (15 points and five assists) and Taylor Wingert (10 points and eight rebounds) led H-BC statistically.

Paige Leuthold turned in a seven-rebounds, four-assist effort for the Patriots.
