Section championship day at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall proved to be a disappointing experience for two football teams from the Star Herald coverage Area Friday.
Both Adrian and Luverne High Schools sported second-half leads in their respective section title tilts.
Unfortunately, neither team could register a victory.
St. Clair recorded a touchdown with 1:04 remaining in the Section 3A championship game to knock off Adrian 15-12.
Luverne sported a pair of second-half advantages in the Section 3AA title tilt against Jackson County Central, but the Huskies scored with less than four minutes remaining in the game to pull out a 35-28 victory.
