The annual Hills Community Club Fall Festival has been canceled.
A few weeks ago the club announced that the Halloween-themed costume event, typically scheduled for late October, was canceled due to the busy schedules of the three active club members.
On Thursday, Oct. 4, they hosted a meeting to welcome new members who might be interested in joining the club. One person attended the meeting.
The club plans to schedule meeting in November to give residents another opportunity to join the club and continue the traditions of planning and hosting community events.
In September club members described the next few months as a time of transition.
They have put out the call to find new members and are looking forward to mentoring a new group of passionate members about the joys and tasks of being an active Community Club member.
