Patricia L. Buss
Patricia L. Buss 65, Luverne, died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Sanford Hospital in Luverne.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hardwick. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.
Patricia Matthiesen was born on Jan. 29, 1945, to Alvin and Bonnie (Bryan) Matthiesen in Luverne. She grew up in Hardwick where she attended school through eighth grade. She then attended Luverne High School and graduated in 1963. After school she began working in the banking industry.
On Jan. 26, 1974, she married Richard Buss at Zion Lutheran Church in Hardwick. After the couple married, they farmed near Hardwick. She continued to work at the bank in Luverne now known as Minnwest Bank. She worked for a short time at Hardwick State Bank and the radio station in Luverne, but for most of her 46-year career she worked in the Luverne bank.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, cooking, telling jokes and spending time with her high school friends.
Mrs. Buss is survived by her husband, Rick, Luverne; a daughter, Tricia (Tony) Aiken, Shakopee; her mother-in-law, Edna Buss, Ellsworth; brother- and sister-in-law, Jerry (Liz) Buss, Luverne; three nephews, Michael, Troy and James Buss; an aunt, Ginny Vonholt, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Tony Buss.
